Bay Preserve at Osprey is Available for Special Events
Bay Preserve at Osprey is a waterfront oasis on little Sarasota Bay protected by Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast. The preserve features a performance pavilion, a dock, a historic boathouse with a wildlife observation platform, the 1931 Burrows-Matson House and carriage house and a 1/4 mile nature trail. It is listed on the Sarasota County Historic Register.
This extraordinary historic property may be used for weddings, private parties, board meetings and retreats, corporate and community events. Arrangements may be made to arrive or depart by boat. Bay Preserve at Osprey is not available for political or fundraising events unless specifically approved by the Board of Trustees of Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast in advance. All events with more than 35 guests require valet parking
Daytime – Burrows-Matson House available 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Evening – Burrows-Matson House available between 5:00 to 11:00 p.m.
Events Friday through Sunday
All events with more than 35 guests require valet parking
Daytime – Burrows-Matson House and Grounds available 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Evening – Burrows-Matson House and Grounds available 6:00 p.m.to 12:00 a.m.
Arrangements may be made to reserve use of the facility for set-up and take-down the day before and/or the day after the event.
Standing Reception 20-300 guests
Tented on grounds – 350 guests
Burrows-Matson House – 100 guests inside
Stage of the Performance Pavilion – 30 guests
Screened Terrace – 30 guests
Honoré T. Wamsler Wildlife Observation Platform – 20 guests
Seated Luncheon or Dinner up to 250 guests
Tented on grounds – 250 guests (220 with a dance floor)
Burrows-Matson House – 60 guests
The Gallery – 24 guests

The Fall Family Festival welcomed more than 1000 people to Bay Preserve at Osprey for old-fashioned games, live music, nature-based art projects and biology in the bay.
